Our Watkins line is the family that emmigrated from western Russia. The information
that I have was provided by my uncle, Dan Hunt, who is also interested in genealogy.The name of the family was changed when they came to the American shores.
Apparently, the original name may have been Vodka (or the Russian equivalent).
The family was probably well-to-do, but there is no concrete information at this time.This line is long-lived; my great-grandmother Julia died in 1994, she was 108 years old.
