I would like to extend a hearty THANK YOU to my cousin, Jennie Gilsdorf, who sent me the pictures of Peter and Ann Collins McFarland, and this picture of their children. She also sent me the book her family had written about these folks; I had only the first 4 pages, and she was kind enough to send me the rest of her family's work. The stories of these ancestors tell of courage and of close family ties in the face of adversity. Reading stories about a person brings that person to life, and also shows that they were just like us. Thanks again, cousin!!
