10/11/00 - Updated game schedules. Also I really want to put a bunch of pictures that i have up on the site. All i need is a weekend. Wait a moment, there is one just around the corner!

10/07/00 - Holy! I haven't updated in quite some time. Quite a bit has happened since my last update. (why not. ill use a bulleted list)

well, that's about it. from now on ill try to update very saturday. have a good week!

9/17/00 - We now have 15 teams turned in, but no place to play for intermurals! I have talked a couple times to Mr. Heringer (the vice principle of student affairs at Rockhurst) and he is trying to find out if we can use the fields we used last year. It has been 3 weeks since we first asked him, and i am getting anxious.
Also, we have started the Ultimate Team campaign! I made a short commercial for the morning annoucements and we are planning on getting custom discs printed. We need to have about 100 orders to have them print them for us. They should look cool, Alex Artigas is working on it. If you would like to get a disc, please contact us.

9/6/00 - School is definitely under way. We had a meeting today activity period. We got quite a few new teams signed up and held an election for P-residents. All in all we have 12 teams (i think) and should be able to start games up next week pending field availability.
UFC is in the process of becoming an official club with all that it entails including: a vote in the Student Government Association, and a brand new moderator Mr. Aanial (phonetic spelling).

8/27/00 pm - Uh

8/27/00 - Vote for Ultimate in a Washington Post poll. They are taking a nonscientific survey of what sport should be added to the Olympics in 2004. Click on the link and vote for Ultimate. Washington Post Survey

8/27/00 am - hey! i got the commercial that James and I made last spring into realplayer. I'll put it under photos for now, but ill write an article on that whole campaign eventually.

8/26/00 pm - "...it's hard to imagine a more photogenic sport." While i was browsing the internet this evening i came across an ultimate site that displayed the quote above. When i read that i thought to myself, 'It would be cool if we had maybe someone from the photography club take some pictures of our games. Ultimate at rockhurst is such an untapped recourse of awesome pictures,' So maybe if anyone that enjoys photography isn't discing it up one day they could snap some pictures. They would definitely get on the website, and i have heard rumors that there may be a spread on the UFC in the yearbook, so your photo could be stored in Rockhurst alums attics for decades to come. To see some cool ultimate pictures try East Brunswick Hucker Picture Page.

8/26/00 - Last Sunday's game was most excellent. We had 12 people come out, including Rockhurst alum Chris Schafer. I think that everyone had a good time. With that game the summer sessions are behind us and the school year is upon us. We are planing on carrying on the tradition of having intramural ultimate tourney during activity periods at Rockhurst. We'll have a meeting tuesday to sign up. Also we are thinking of having pickup games maybe sundays? Please tell us what times and days would be good for you. Also, i'm close to the afor mentioned figuring out realplayer. I am going to work on that now.

8/20/00 - I'm excited about the games this evening, we should have a good turn out. As far as the site goes, I'm going to try to figure out how to make realplayer files so that i can put the commercial James and I made for the summer games on the site.

8/19/00 - Sorry I haven't been able to attend the last couple weekday games. Cross Country has started and we are having two a days until school starts. Anyway, I passed out some fliers and called down the list for Sunday night's games, so it has the potential to be our biggest game yet. School starts the 23rd so Sunday will probably be the last game of the summer games. (Start thinking about your fall season teams). I was born 17 years ago today.

8/16/00 - Trip to Rockhurst was successful. There we talked to Mr. Heringer, and confirmed that the club has a booth in the Club Fair at Freshmen Orientation (1:30-5:00 for all Freshmen). We also talked about how to make the Ultimate Frisbee Club an official club at Rockhurst. This will happen sometime in the upcoming school year.

8/15/00 - Attempted to have another weekday practice...unsuccessfully, yet we plan to try to hold two more on thursday and sunday. We took a trip to Rockhurst to see if we could get a club booth at the freshman orientation, we came back with nothing except an appointment for tomorrow.

8/13/00 pm - Read what i wrote last about the full team because i still think that that would be awesome. I just wanted to say that i am going to start putting pictures up in a new pictures area of the site.

8/13/00 - I just got back from camp friday night. It was a good time. One of the councilors played ultimate for Luther College. We disced it up a few times and he showed me a little about offense and defensive strategy. Like I said, it was a good time. Also, school is about to start. I'm going to try to set up the UFC as an 'official' Rockhurst club, and we are going to have the ultimate intramural games that Rockhurst has grown to love, but this year i'm going to try to set up a full-on team to represent the Rockhurst UFC in games against other local highschool teams. It probably won't get into full swing until next year, but if there is a real following we could get a full practicing team going by winter of the '00/'01 school year.

8/4/00 - Our first weekday game was a great success. We had enough attendance to play and i had recently acquired some new cones to mark the field. I would like to thank everyone who came out. I'm going out of town so i can't run any weekday games this week, but ill be back saturday for that game and i don't see why we couldn't organize more games during the week once i get back. I'll see you guys saturday.

8/4/00 - This is Jonathan Schwab back in the mean streets of KC from the mean streets of Bethlehem. The game last night was good. We had a total attendance of eight and we need more. So all of you that Jamie called, if you have nothing to do you need to get off of you asses and come down to the field to play some ultimate.

7/31/00 - Jonathan Schwab, a friend of mine from grade school and a long time discer, is in town from Pennsylvania and I was thinking of organizing a game sometime durring the week. Maybe thursday?

7/28/00 - I took a couple day break from coding to try to work on a movie that James and I are making, but I have still made progress since my last update. I have been working on the articles part of the page. If anyone has anything that they would like us to post just send it to us. I am just basically fixing up small things all over the site.

7/25/00 - Just starting to learn the website. No real news here, but we are going to try to get a booth at the Freshman orientation to get new kids in the club. Hopefully we will have more teams, and games than in the previous years.

7/24/00 pm - In the process of trying to find a picture of the field that we play on when we play at Rockhurst I stumbled upon a list of club sports at Rockhurst, and the UFC wasn't mentioned! Once school gets going again i'll have to set the record strait.
Also as far as site design goes, i've gotten allot of ideas from Nick's website and hope that if he happens upon this site he doesn't hate me.

7/24/00 - Sorry for the lack of update after saturday's games. I went down to the Lake of The Ozarks with my family directly after the games saturday. Anyway, while the attendance was low we had an excellent time. It had just rained so the temperature wasn't too bad and the grass was soft. We played several games to 5 but we played one or two past 10. Kudos to Ian, William, Alex, and Bob for an excellent day of frisbee.
As far as the website goes I have decided, armed with more knowledge of coding, to return to a frame based site. This should make updates easier and everything work more smoothly.

7/19/00 - Dusted the cobwebs off of my html editing software and set out to update the ultimate frisbee site that I created during the '99/'00 winter. I am going to set it up so people interested in frisbee will be able to play. I may also set up a mailing list so i don't have to make the 50+ phone calls every week telling people about games, also to provide a forum for talk about UFC or ultimate in general.
