In 1982, there was a television series about a teenager (actually a young superhero from another planet) who had ESP and could move objects by sheer force of will, who's name was Matthew Star. Peter Barton played Matthew, and Louis Gossett, Jr. played his devoted guardian. Thus the name of the weekly TV series was...
