Still more 'Wild, Wild East'.  Chapter 7 - Rebooting is ready.  Chapter 8 is almost ready.  Seems I'm writing more AYA than much of anything else.

30 July 2007

More 'Wild, Wild East'.  Two chapters this time.  Still working on 'Nabiki-New Horizons'.  I can't believe how hard it is to kill off a character. Real life has really cut into my writing.  I'm still doing plots but lack the time or energy to put them into a story format.  I'll keep working on it.

24 September 2006

For you 'Wild, Wild East' fans, Chapter 4 is now up.  'Nabiki-New Horizons' should be up in October some time.  'Fox Squadron' is taking longer than I anticipated.  Probably because I've written myself into a corner and keep giving up to work on something else before I can come to a satisfactory solution.  Might be November or even December some time before I get time enough to work it out.  Stay tuned.  ^_^

4 March 2006

No excuses.  It has been too long since the last real update.  I have been posting stuff in the 'Reading Room' but not a full web site update in over a year.  Not good.

Anyway, I have been writing.  Please enjoy the latest Nabiki-New Horizons chapter and the first chapter of my new series Wild, Wild East, a 'Ai Yori Aoshi' story featuring Tina Foster.

9 January 2005

It has been a long time.  Too many distractions over the last year.  Work and other projects ate so much of my time that chapters got neglected.  Well, maybe not neglected but certainly stockpiled.  I have been writing... and rewriting... and rewriting.  Sometimes, I think I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to my writing style.  I criticize everything.  Too often, that leads to little getting posted to the web site.

In addition to the next episode of FOX Squadron, I've been working on Nabiki-New Horizons.  I may have to break that one up into multiple chapters.  Getting too big again.

24 February 2004

FINALLY!  After... well, you wouldn't believe how long I put this off.  I finally finished the rewrite of Nabiki-New Horizons Chapter 2.  And how that monster grew.  It's up to a whopping 323kb.  That's about 101 pages of text.  (Just goes to show you what happens when you let a group of published writers have a whack at editing fan fiction.  Last time I do something stupid like that.)  Anyway, I hope you give it a chance.  I know you waited long enough to read it.

I think this will be the end of my formal rewriting days.  Takes too much time and I really don't have all that much time to begin with.  I'm going back to new chapters.  I hope to post at least a new Fox Squadron before summer.

30 November 2003

I'm breaking up my chapters into more bite-sized chunks.  Over the years, I discovered that I tend to lose interest when I force myself to write long chapters.  Since it is easier for me to produce shorter chapters on my busy real-life schedule, I am switching in the hopes I will produce chapters more often.

Episode 11 of FOX Squadron will be my first attempt.  I hope you approve.

Also, please check out my FOX Squadron Disclaimer.  It has been pointed out to me that the danger exists that some of my readers might take as gospel my obviously flawed impressions of the Lakota culture and especially their religious views.  The included disclaimer should clear things up.

Finally!  A new chapter of Nabiki-New Horizons.  This was a troublesome chapter - especially the ending.

I finally replaced my old computer with something new (well, newer).  The system is a lot more stable and reliable.  Shouldn't have a repeat of the last problem.

The next chapter of FOX Squadron should be up in 30 days or so.  Sorry for the delay.

10 May 2003

Well, it's been a long time.  I'm left with working on a dying computer that could suffer a total breakdown at any moment.  The good news is that I have another section of Nabiki-New Horizons to post.  While not a complete chapter, it's about 80% of the finished product.  The bad news is that until I can either fix or replace my five year old computer, I won't be able to update any of my stories.  Since I keep everything on floppies (easier to transport between laptop, work computer, and my computer at home) and my home computer will no longer recognize the floppy drive, I have no way of getting what I've done off of the floppy and onto my web page.  Hopefully, this situation will be resolved in the next couple of weeks.

Sorry for the delay - and the long absence.

20 December 2002

The next chapter of Nabiki-New Horizons is done.  I'm about half way through the next episode of FOX Squadron, the Sit-com is finally done and being circulated (I hope to have feedback before the first of the year), and Missing Pieces getting close.  In the mean time, HAPPY HOLIDAYS from everyone here in the bunker.

Oh, and the Foxes send their holiday greetings as well.

17 May 2002

It's been a long time since I updated.  Well, three months IS a long time to me.  Anyway, I'm releasing the next episode of 'FOX Squadron - Getting To Know You'.  They're at Ozark Base and ready for the fun to begin.

5 February 2002

Released the next chapter of 'Nabiki - New Horizons - Folly, Foxes, and Flirtation'.  While the story ideas keep coming, my time to write them keep getting get shorter.  I'm also working on a TV SitCom script 'The Collection Agency' with another writer and trying to work on my book 'Missing Pieces', a scifi mystery-adventure set in Japan that is currently in its fourth rewrite.  Both projects are real time sinks.  I had to drop out of my writers' group for awhile until I catch up.  Stay tuned.

25 January 2002

Released the next episode of FOX Squadron.  Finally got them to their base in the Ozarks.

10 January 2002

My long project involving Chapter 1 of  Nabiki - New Horizons is complete.  Using the combind talents of my local writers' group, I've rewritten the chapter to better reflect the thoughts of Jeff and Nabiki while sharpening the reasons Nabiki is so hesitant to fall in love with Jeffrey.  I hope you will have time to read Chapter 1 again and let me know if it reads better or worse than the original.

15 December 2001

Updated the current web page.  Added some new features but kept the same content.  This page was added to pass on information about what's happening with Nabiki-New Horizons, FOX Squadron, and all my other projects.

Merry Christmas from Jeff, Nabiki, Sodoshi and all the gang at 'New Horizons'!  ^_^
