What is the RPGA?
The RPGA Network is a worldwide club of role-playing
enthusiasts sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, the makers of Dungeons &
Dragons. The official RPGA site can
be found at www.wizards.com/rpga/
What are RPGA clubs?
The RPGA also has local affiliated clubs. The RPGKC is the local RPGA
affiliated club and is also the largest RPGA club in the U.S.A. RPGA clubs act as the center for RPGA
role-playing in an area, running games and conventions and generally
promoting the hobby.
What does the RPGA do?
The RPGA attempts to promote
the role-playing hobby. They provide
a tournament role-playing system and maintain a library of role-playing
adventures for their members to order.
Members also receive a bi-monthly magazine known as the Polyhedron.
Perhaps one of the RPGA’s
biggest endeavors is the sponsoring of their various ‘Living Campaigns’. The RPGA Living Campaigns are nationwide
campaigns set in various fantasy worlds and game systems. Characters are created specifically for
one of these Living Campaigns and are advanced only through play in specific
events.

Living Greyhawk: Dyvers
Of particular interest to Kansas City area role players is
the RPGA’s Living
Greyhawk Campaign. Set in the
classic world of Greyhawk, this worldwide campaign divides the original
Dungeons and Dragons world of Oerth into regions. Each region is developed and run by the RPGA members living in
a corresponding geographical area.
The region that Kansas City lies in includes states of
Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Oklahoma and controls the Living
Greyhawk region of the free and independent city of Dyvers.
