Font Problems

One of main problems in trying to get professional-looking syllabi is that when you cut and paste the information, the font seems to change in unpredictable ways. The fonts you want, won't stick. The result is often a menagerie of fonts – bolded 10 pt. times in one place, unbolded 12 pt. arial in another, etc. Here is a possible solution from Wade Tripp:

"What happens ( I believe ) is this: In the HTML code is "< Use:Arial>< Microsoft Word Use:Times New Roman>" While the fancy text part of it sees the Arial and makes it appear Arial, Internet Explorer ... switches to Times New Roman right after your change of font.
The best way of how to fix this is to get rid of the Word stuff ( which is useful in a few places, but not here). You can do this by copying the page to Notepad. Deleting the original. Copying what you have from notepad and then posting it back to the original box. Another possibility ( if you really want a lot of work ) is to click on the HTML button and remove all of the HTML that Microsoft Word put in. I hope this helps as to why there is a font problem. It changed the outside of it, but not the words."
