Why Build an experimental plane?? It could take 5 (OK  2.5) years!!

After 2-1/2 years and an estimated 2500 hours of work, the building process is complete. Now for the payoff. THIS PLANE FLY'S GREAT ! The flying has been a blast. The test period is done and I am free to travel the country. So travel we will. The feeling of accomplishment is incredible, all the work has and will definitely pay off. Burning 10 gallons per hour, this plane will cruise at 190 mph, the plane is so sleek that slowing down to land is something to plan for, almost like the plane doesn't want to come down yet.

There are many many photos on this site, most are 20k or less and are worth waiting for. If you are looking for a specific photo of a part you are working on and don't see it, feel free to
EMAIL me. I would be glad to email you a picture to see how I handled it.
This page is an attempt to keep track of all the resources I have found and used in the building process. It also doubled as my building log for the FAA certification.
