The City
of Fairway curbside recycling program helps make otherwise unwanted resources valuable. This program saves energy, reduces air and water
pollution, and extends the life of existing landfills.
By participating in this program, you are making a positive contribution to the
ecology of our planet.
The City, through Deffenbaugh Disposal, also provides a voluntary yard waste-composting program for a fee of $3.00 per month. Items taken include grass, leaves, branches, twigs, weeds, and garden growth. The leaves and grass must be placed in biodegradable paper bags, which are available at most hardware stores. Those who participate in the program will be able to get free soil enriching composting from the compost site at I-435 and Holliday Drive. Please call Deffenbaugh Disposal at 913-631-3300 for additional information.
