Stadium Directory Update
I am in the process of updating all of the information on the
Stadium Directory page. I have been reviewing all contact information for
accuracy as well as further updating autograph grades and tips for getting
autographs from each team. Road Tripping - Toronto
In the interest of always giving full disclosure, I must admit
that my latest attempt to get some autographs was pretty much a disaster. I
was in Toronto on business for a conference at the Sheraton Centre. Since it
was a short walk over to the Air Canada Centre, and the Senators were in
town, I thought why not make a trek down to the ACC and try my luck? Having
no clue where to go, I walk around and in the ACC looking for other autograph
seekers or a likely entrance. I finally decided that it looked like the
players would enter on the Bay Street side of the arena. I saw one other
autograph seeker out there, so I waited near Bay and the Gardner Expressway. I was not feeling overly confident in my choice of location, but
decided to give it a go. To my surprise, a few players soon walked by. But,
and here’s where the idiot in me kicked in, I didn’t recognize a single guy!
Being an American stuck with American NHL coverage, I have to admit I am not
up on the faces of most of the players. I know the big guns, but not the
rest. So I watched several players walk by without getting a single
autograph! I should have had them just sign an index card or something, but I
was mad at myself for my lack of knowledge. The big guns didn’t go to the
morning skate, so I never saw them. It did confirm however, that they stayed at the Westin-Harbour
Castle and simply walked up Bay Street and into the ACC entrance on Bay. I
assume many other teams stay here as well. So if you’re in Toronto and you
aren’t an idiot like me with recognizing the team, you can probably get some
autographs. As for the Leafs, it looked like they parked underneath the ACC
by entering the ramp on the south side of the arena. Probably best to get
them at the practice facility. The Hall of Fame
I am completed with My Collection of Hall of Fame
autographs. I am now in the process of adding Other Hall of Famers, to provide scans of
autographs that I do not yet have in my collection. My goal is to provide the
most complete database of Hall of Fame autograph scans. Keep checking out
both pages as I continue to add to them. Best autograph wishes to
you always, Kuch Last updated: 4-10-2008 |
