The different Supernatural happenings in the Bible can be explained With a High Tech understanding. The One True God of the Hydrogen Atom is the Source Of Life (SOL) that no one has ever seen. This Source is also the Source of the Big Bang of Science.
"The Flood", 1967. By Alfred M. Rehwinkel, M.A.,B.D.,LL.D. (Rehwinkel refers to the universal flood in Genesis as 'described by Moses'. Moses is believed to have written Genesis.) "In Genesis 8:14, "And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried". These words need not be interpreted to mean that all the earth in every continent and on every body of land as these are now constituted were dry and appeared then as they do now. The text merely states that land and water were again definitely separated and that the land was now sufficiently dry so that Noah and the animals with him could safely leave the ark to repossess and repopulate the earth. The fact is that the Flood waters had not completely drained to their present basins, and large bodies of water continued to exist for centuries, a few of them even surviving to the present day. In fact, the existence of large inland bodies of water or the remains of such bodies of water as fossil lakes, as they are also called, is further evidence of a universal flood as described in Genesis. At any rate such a flood would offer the most plausible explanation for their existence. If we had no record of a universal flood, we would postulate one to account for the origin of the existing fossil lakes. The remnants of large inland bodies of water and fossil lakes are found in every continent. Geologists are pretty well agreed that the source of all coal is some form of vegetable matter. - What force of nature could better meet this condition than a flood such as God brought over the first world?
"Water alone possesses all requirements necessary, first, to uproot the existing vegetation, second, to drift it together in great heaps, and third, to bury it before it rotted. The presence of well-preserved fossil leaves and other delicate parts of plant life seems to prove beyond doubt that the burial must have been very soon after the plant was separated and destroyed. - Coal is found on every continent and on many islands of the sea. - Oil is found in fossiliferous strata and is therefore not an original creation, but a product of organic matter. It came into existence not until life had appeared on our planet and after living organisms had been destroyed and buried on a world-wide scale. The problem of the origin of petroleum has puzzled scientists ever since it was first discovered, and various theories have been advanced in explanation, but none of them offers a solution so completely satisfactory as the one which attributes its origin to a great world catastrophe identical with, or at least similar to, the great Flood. Petroleum has been known for a considerable time. Through seepage on the coast of the Caspian Sea, and through wells, man became familiar with it, but did not know what to do with it. Gradually he learned to use it for lighting and for medicinal purposes. Not until after the middle of the last century did oil assume its present importance in the industrial and commercial world. - Where does the oil which we pump from the earth come from? How did it get into the earth? In 1923 Dr. J. M. MacFarlane, professor of Botany at the University of Pennsylvania, published a notable book - proposes and defends very successfully the theory that fish are the source of all petroleum.
"In this book the author makes out a very strong case for the theory that fish destroyed in prodigious numbers somewhere in the distant past constitute the chief source of our oil deposits. Dr. MacFarlane summarizes the results of his investigation as follows: "In review of the evidence of the preceding chapters, the author was compelled to accept that fishes are the source of practically the entire supply of crude petroleum, also of natural petroleum derivatives like asphalt" He says that in these studies he has been increasingly impressed by the apparent recurring cataclysmic cycles which were responsible for the destruction of these myriads upon myriads of fishes. - Further quotations from Price, Buckland, Hugh Miller, and others may well find a place here to show that great geologists of the present and the past agree with this view. Beginning with Price, we read the following: "If a vertebrate fish should die a natural death - which, of itself, must be a rare occurrence - the carcass would soon be devoured whole or bit by bit by other creatures near. Possibly the lower jaw, or the teeth, the spines, etc., in the case of sharks, or a bone or two of the skeleton, might be buried unbroken, but a whole vertebrate fish entombed in a modern deposit is surely a unique occurrence. But every geologist knows that the remains of fishes are, in countless millions of cases, found in a marvelous state of preservation. They have been entombed in whole shoals, with the beds containing them miles in extent, and scattered all over the globe.
"Buckland, in speaking of the fossil fish of Monte Bolea, which may be taken as typical of all the others, is quite positive that these fish must have 'perished suddenly', by some tremendous catastrophe. - De la Beche was also of the opinion that most of the fossils were buried suddenly and in an abnormal manner. 'A very large proportion of them', he says, 'must have been entombed uninjured, and many alive, or, if not alive, at least before decomposition ensued'. In this, he is speaking not of the fishes alone, but to the follisiferous deposits in general. - I beg leave to quote somewhat at length the picturesque language of Hugh Miller regarding these rocks as found in Scotland: -. 'At this period of our history, some terrible catastrophe involved in sudden destruction the fish of an area at least a hundred miles from boundary to boundary, perhaps much more. The same platform in Orkney as at Cromarty is strewed thick with remains which exhibit unequivocally the marks of violent death. - I will not taunt the uniformitarians by asking them to direct us to some modern analogies. But I would have the reader remember that these Devonian and other rocks are world-wide in extent'. The geological evidence thus far advanced is sufficiently convincing to any unbiased person that a universal flood as Moses describes is at least a most reasonable explanation for the phenomena observed, and only one who is prejudiced by obstinate and willful opposition to the Bible, or who lacks the moral courage to accept a view not in harmony with the accepted theories or popular beliefs, can be blind to them.
"The fossil skeletons of prehistoric reptiles are well known to everyone. Modern oil companies and filling stations have helped to popularize their names. The remains of these ancient monsters have been found on every continent. - In point of size they range from the size of a small dog to a monster of over eighty feet in length. - Possibly the best known of all these ancient reptiles is that large group called dinosaurs. The first dinosaur remains found in America were discovered in 1818 in the Connecticut Valley. Since then their fossils have been found in all parts of the world, in North America in many localities, among the foothills of the Rocky Mountains from Alberta to New Mexico and Texas, with similar beds in the Black Hills in South Dakota and in western Colorado. An elephant weighing five tons requires about one hundred pounds of hay and twenty-five pounds of grain for his daily ration. The quantities of food these monsters required must have been enormous. Only a world such as the antediluvian world could have sustained them. - How these animals became extinct, why they perished simultaneously over the entire face of the earth, and how they were massed together in huge reptilian cemeteries are inexplicable mysteries indeed. However, a sane and reasonable solution of this mystery is to be found in the universal flood catastrophe as described by Moses. Only water could at the same time destroy and bury them on so wide a scale. -
"About the mammoths in the Siberian north. - The conclusion arrived at by the English scientist Howorth, who writes: "These facts, I claim, prove several conclusions. They prove in the first place that a very great cataclysm and catastrophe occurred at the close of the mammoth period by which that animal, with its companions was overwhelmed over a very large part of the earth's surface. Secondly, that this catastrophe involved a widespread flood of waters which not only killed the animals, but also buried them under continuous beds of loam or gravel. Thirdly, that the same catastrophe was accompanied by a very great and sudden change of climate in Siberia, by which the animals which had previously lived in fairly temperate conditions were frozen in their flesh under the ground and have remained frozen ever since. - And finally there is the curious fact that a number of the mammoth carcasses and skeletons found in Siberia were discovered in a standing, upright position in the ground as if they had sunk down where they lived and had been frozen in that position, a position inconceivable in a floating carcass. - This proves that the climate and vegetation must have been different in that region and that a change in climate came suddenly and overtook these animals in their natural habitat. There they perished suddenly in some great catastrophe, and they have been preserved in cold storage to the present day. -
"We want a cause that should kill the animals, and yet not break to pieces their bodies, or even mutilate them; a cause which would in some cases disintegrate the skeletons without weathering the bones. We want a cause that would not merely do this as a widespread plague or murrain might, but one which would bury the bodies as well as kill the animals, which would take up gravel and clay and lay them down again, and which would sweep together animals of different sizes and species and mix them with trees and other debris of vegetation. What cause competent to do this is known to us? Water would drown the animals and yet would not mutilate their bodies. It would kill them all with complete impartiality, irrespective of their strength, age or size. It would take up clay and earth, and cover the bodies with it ... . Not only could it do this, but it is the only cause known to be capable of doing the work on a scale commensurate with the effects we see here in Siberia". - Until the early part of the last century geologists accepted the Biblical Flood as a historical fact and were agreed in tracing to this great world cataclysm many of the phenomena in and on the surface of the earth's crust, which since then have given rise to a great many theories concerning the history development, and age of our earth and it inhabitants." (Rationalism developed.) "In biology, Rationalism led to the revival of the ancient Greek theory of evolution as an explanation of the origin of the life that is found in the universe.
"The Biblical Flood story could, of course, not be made to fit into such a mechanistic scheme any more than the story of Creation as related in Genesis. Hence both the Biblical account of Creation and the story of the Flood were ruled out as unacceptable, and the modern theory of geology, which is evolutionistic in its basic principle, took their place. And yet even modern geology and other sciences have unwittingly contributed much to confirm the Biblical account of the Flood. - The first of this type of evidence I wish to submit is what the geologists call 'rubble drift and ossiferous fissures." By "rubble drift" is meant a certain type of deposit or sediment consisting of massive, angular unrolled material tumultuously deposited in local pockets and catchment areas, generally full of shattered bones. And by "ossiferous fissures" are meant great fissures or rents in the earth which were formed by some violent contortion of the surface of the earth. The evidence of such fissures has been found in many places of the earth, some of them measuring from 140 to 300 feet in depth. They were filled with debris which drifted into them soon after they opened. This probably explains why they did not close again. Such fissures have been found in England, France, southern Spain, Germany, Russia, and elsewhere. The interesting feature of these fissures is the debris found in them, for they are filled with the remains of animals, among them those of the elephant, the rhinoceros, the hippopotamus, the reindeer, the horse, the hog, and the ox.
"The bones found in them cannot be of animals which fell in alive or were buried there, for no skeleton is complete. They cannot have been brought there by streams, for those who have examined them found no signs on them of having been rolled. Neither could the bones have been exposed to the weather for a long time, for none of them show marks of weathering. That water had something to do with depositing them is indicated by the very general cementing together of the deposits by calcite. Again, it has been observed by such a competent geologist as Prestwich that these ossiferous fissures are usually found upon isolated hills of considerable height, places on which we might expect animals to gather in seeking safety from an approaching flood. Fleeing in terror and driven by the common danger, the carnivorous and herbivorous alike sought refuge on the same elevation, only to meet even here a common watery grave."
Some of this debris was buried as the Earth split open during the Flood, but most was washed into crevasses, and piled up from the tidal wave action after the Flood.
"Evolution, Geology and, the Bible", 1977. By The Southwest Radio Church. "Noah Hutchings: We are very happy to have on the broadcast again today, Dr. Clifford Burdick. Dr. Burdick is perhaps one of the best known Christian geologists in the world. He has been up on Mt. Ararat several times. His geological duties have taken him practically around the world. Joining Dr. Burdick today will be Dr. Edward F. Blick, professor of aerodynamics and nuclear engineering at the University of Oklahoma. -
"Noah Hutchings: Dr. Blick, why don't you take over and direct Dr. Burdick in that discussion. Edward Blick: All right, Dr. Burdick, I know that chapter 25 of your manuscript for the book that you hope to publish is entitled the "White Sand Tracks". Now, I am not familiar with that information. What is the Chapter 25 about? Clifford Burdick: Some years ago a pamphlet was put out by the government which stated that the tracks of early man had been found in white gypsum. Your could not see the outline of the toes. They apparently wore shoes or something like that. They were giant size. I think there was a series of 15 or 20 of them. It had the stride of a giant with a six-foot stride. Furthermore, the man was carrying a stick. You could see the prints of the cane, of the stick in his hand. Edward Blick: In which strata were these prints found? Clifford Burdick: Well, I think that was in the Cretaceous. Edward Blick: So, you have got the same problem again. You have got the Cretaceous age of the dinosaurs supposedly 70 or 100 million years older than man and yet you have got man tracks in Cretaceous strata which, according to the evolutionists, is impossible.
"Edward Blick: Let me ask you this one question. I notice that Chapter 28 of your manuscript is entitled, "Those Abominable Snowmen". Can you tell the audience something about those reported snowmen tracks and possibly something about Bigfoot which is in this country? Clifford Burdick: If you don't mind, while I am on this other subject, I need to tell about a very important discovery that has been made in central Arizona a few years ago by the United States Geological Survey. They were digging in pre-Cambrian rock, which the University of Arizona had dated as 1.2 billion years old through a radio-active dating method. As they were digging they ran across some Arthropod fossils, that is, invertebrate fossils, in this pre-Cambrian rock. I have heard the man who found them lecture at both the University of Arizona and at Cal Tech in California. The paleontologists there were just astounded. They concluded that this puts these fossils back 500 million years too soon. What about that? Well, they are all in confusion. The whole thing is in a state of confusion. Now what was this other subject?
"Edward Blick: I was asking about the Abominable Snowman and Bigfoot. Could you enlighten us on this? I know a lot of people are interested in this topic. Clifford Burdick: Evidence has been gathered in recent years of a large, apparently human track in the Himalaya Mountains, and more recently in Canada and even in the United States and in Florida. I have a great deal of data on that. In fact, I have a track right here with me made by the Abominable Snowman. It is about the same as one of the giant tracks they found in Texas which is about 18 inches in length. They (bigfoot) have been seen many times and photographed and are 8 or 9 feet tall and probably weigh 500 or 600 lbs. We can only speculate that perhaps they were separated from the main branch of the human race soon after the flood, lived by themselves in a natural state and were not subject to the degenerative processes to which the rest of humanity has been subject. Now that is about all we know, but they are there. They are in many places throughout the world. We have to get an answer to this.
"Noah Hutchings: Dr. Burdick, I would like to clear up what you are saying here because this is fascinating to me. You are the first geologist or scientist I have talked to who believes or who has come out and made a positive statement about the Abominable Snowman and Bigfoot. Now you mentioned that this was perhaps a branch of the human race that was separated from the rest, or the mass, after the flood. Now we read in the Bible, of course, in Genesis 6 that there were giants on earth in those days. Of course, there are some that believe that all people before the flood were giants at that time. In other words, it says there were giants in those days and after that, meaning after the flood. Now these tracks that we are talking about down in the Paluxy River and White Sands are tracks 18 to 23 inches long, as I understand it. These were made by giants. And everything on the geologic record here is in perfect accord with what the Bible says. Clifford Burdick: That is right. Then let us draw the conclusion from that while we are talking on the subject. Does that prove evolution? That life has been developed from a small beginning to a continually grander size. The very opposite. Degeneration is the rule.
"Edward Blick: That is right. The Second Law of Thermodynamics. Could you say something about the frozen mammoths in Russia? What is the significance of these frozen elephants or mammoths they have discovered in Russia? Clifford Burdick: Before the flood apparently the climate was about the same all over the world. There was a very good vegetation clear up nearly to the North Pole. Life was abundant up there and the vegetation was abundant, as we have discovered from the great oil deposits up in Alaska. So, when I was up there on my trips in the last two or three years, I found many people to say that they have discovered while digging for gold down in this frozen earth the whole skeletons of mammoths that are in a perfect state of preservation. The food in their stomachs had not even decayed. They have been found in Siberia. This showed that when the flood came, it came with a terrible suddenness and that things were frozen maybe 150 degrees below zero immediately.
"Edward Blick: I have read recently that when digging the Alaska pipeline where they dig down to the permafrost, they have come across some frozen mammoths. Two years ago I was talking with some Russian engineers who lived in a city in Siberia and I asked them if they still found frozen mammoths in Siberia. They said that they did. They had found a frozen mammoth just outside their city. That was in the Spring of 1974. Clifford Burdick: I saw them digging in Alaska to bury the pipeline and they did get down into the frozen ground. I did not happen to see any mammoth, but they told me about mammoths they had found in quite an abundance. Five of them were discovered heading toward a pool, apparently where they were going to drink, when suddenly this terrible blast of ice and snow came over and just buried them. Edward Blick: It could have occurred at the time of the flood. Is that possible? Clifford Burdick: It is possible. I think that is right. Noah Hutchings: Ah, this is indeed amazing and it has been a most enlightening discussion on the subject of Special Creation versus the Theory of Evolution. As I sit here and listen to Dr. Blick and Dr. Burdick, I have just been amazed. I know that people have been blessed and have been strengthened in their faith as more and more of the Bible has been substantiated by science."
K.C. STAR, 10/15/97. "Ancient settlement found near Moscow" Moscow - "Archaeologists have unearthed a 22,000-year-old settlement near Moscow that was once inhabited by early Stone Age hunters of woolly mammoths. The excavated dwellings provide the oldest evidence of humans in the Moscow region, 'The Moscow Times' reported Tuesday. It previously had been thought that the region - in an ice age at the time - had been too cold to support human life, Hizri Amirkhanov of the Institute of Archaeology and leader of the dig, told the paper. The site in Zaraisk, 125 miles southeast of the capital, has yielded tools, jewelry and the remains of 15 mammoths killed by the hunters. The only human remains found so far is an arm bone. After three years of excavation, the breakthrough came this summer when archaeologists discovered two round dwellings with roofs made from mammoth bone. "They were the same size as a modern Soviet kitchen", Amirkhanov was quoted as saying. Archaeologists expect to find several more dwellings at the site, he said. The settlement was first revealed when rain washed away soil at the site."
Science and Religion are about the same Atom Life that was Colonized on Earth recently. Asia and North America were joined at the top, and So. America was up where the Atlantic Ocean is today. Before the Flood the One Land Mass was temperate. The continents were broke apart during the Flood, when the Ice-crystal Canopy fell, changed the Axis of Earth and created the different temperature zones. Science and Religion need to join and re-study all the records being gathered today, of all the Knowledge about our Past, so we can know what our Future holds. Man was so busy re-populating the Earth, that whatever remains they found they made use of them when they could. All these discoveries now discovered are being mis-labeled since evolution has been taught. As the Planet warms up more, more remains buried in the top strata will be uncovered to prove the Noah/Atlantis Flood was a Planetary Flood.
K.C. STAR, 2/24/97. "Letters" "Facts are missing" By Allen G. Meyer. "As far as the scientific "facts" have shown, fossil records have consistently shown a pattern of sudden appearance of species followed by a stasis. Fossil records describe the origin of life to be more of a story of variation surrounding a set of basic designs than one of evolutionary processes. Transitional forms (missing links) are virtually non existent, not to mention that the scientific evidence shows many catastrophic extinctions occurred. This litigates against the Darwinist position ( or I should say the "religion of Darwinism") that old life forms die out gradually as they are replaced by new forms. To put it plain and simple, there are no "facts" to prove evolution. I find it quite asinine to think for a second that the complex human body and brain, or this beautiful world, for that matter, found its own way to development. Even as a child, I could never swallow that kind of a lie. What I think is "funny" is the question Jeremy Trickey (Letters, 2/6) posed: "Would God create us with an organ (appendix) that served no purpose ... ?" If we would just look in an updated encyclopedia, we would discover that the "vermiform appendix" is now thought to be one of the sites where immune responses are initiated in the body."
Most all the land break-up during the Flood was caused by the Ice-crystal Canopy falling at the Poles. When the land is joined together it will be possible to see where this ice fell and the damage it did to the land that was all in one place. It broke apart the land mainly where the Arctic and Atlantic Ocean is today separating the Americas from Asia and Europe; the top of South America joined with the east side of North America and the east side of South America joins with Europe. That was one pole of contact. The other contact, maybe less violent, broke up some land in the Pacific that made Antarctica and broke off Australia. Until science takes a look at this joining, we have to put up with all the many theories that abound about the divisions of the Continents from the Original Land Mass.
"Our Ancestors Came From Outer Space" By Maurice Chatelain. (Chatelain is a former NASA space expert.) "The theory that the Earth had 4 moons. 3 crashed and made the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Also one closer than our present moon. Also measurements of temple of Kalasasya in Tiahuanaco, Tower of Babel and Ziggurat of Ur. - Story of Atlantis - theories that it was the Island of Thera - North and South America together. - A very interesting book was published some time ago that registers the distribution of megalithic monuments all around the world and tells us that an enormous dolmen with a stone cover plate weighing 600 tons stands in eastern Korea, so it seems that refugees from the sunken Atlantis even got as far as that. - It is quite possible that some objects that fill our museums as unidentified primitive art and pagan idols are indeed remnants of Atlantis. The pure gold tablets in the museum in Cuenca are one example of such possibility. So were the many hieroglyph-covered gold statues and tablets that the Spanish conquistadors melted into ingots, destroying forever the great archaeological value that these relics possessed. Much of the evidence we now seek may have been destroyed centuries ago. - In 1961, Project Oxma set up to search for radio signals from outer Space. - Betty Hill star map. - Flying saucers as understandable."
K.C. STAR, 5/15/19'83'. "The old masters of the Baja" By Walter Burks. San Ignacio, Mexico - "The Sierra de San Francisco of central Baja California are like no other mountains known to man. Formed by catastrophic geological forces that wrested the Baja peninsula from the Mexican mainland 20 million years ago, they tower above the lowlands like watchful sentinels. In the high ranges of these mountains - hundred centuries before the Egyptians dotted the sands of Giza with mighty pyramids - Cro-Magnon painters covered the walls of caves and overhung rock faces with brilliantly colored paintings. Through the centuries, the mountains have guarded these secrets well. Only recently have archeologists and explorers begun to penetrate the highlands to study and catalog the paintings, and far more remains to be discovered. - The paintings are accessible, but it is not a journey for the weak. These treacherous mountains test man's will to survive. - Using only materials on hand and employing the most primitive stone tools, archaeologists have erected scaffolds from which the painters could have worked at heights of 70 to 80 feet. Microscopic examination of the paintings has enabled researchers to duplicate the reed brushes with which the paint was applied. Beyond this, they know little of the paintings or the painters. Near Cueva Pintada, still in the Arroyo de Santa Teresa, is the Cueva de la Fleche, so named, or misnamed, because it is the only cave containing paintings depicting human figures transfixed with projectiles.
"'Fleche' is the Spanish word for "arrow", and the unknown rancher who gave this cave its name assumed that the projectiles were arrows. (At the time of these paintings, the bow and arrow had not been invented, so the objects must be spears or lances.) Moving out of the Arroyo de Santa Teresa and into the adjoining Arroyo de Soledad, you'll encounter quite different paintings. Here in the Cueva de Soledad, among the familiar red and black figures, are intricately crafted geometric designs - squares, rectangles, circles and triangles - colored a brilliant gold. Some are formed separately; others are joined as massive, interlocking configurations. From the Arroyo de Soledad, the trail moves in a half-circle southwest through the massive peaks of Los Parrals, the least-explored area of the San Francisco mountains and the region in which many of the new discoveries are being made. Here, in the 'Cueva el Batiqui', entire walls are covered with stylized paintings of bats. In other caves, the predominant forms are marine creatures, human figures, reptiles or mountain mammals. Each set of paintings is new, each different from the others."
K.C. TIMES, 8/17/19'83'. "Magical message" Altamira, Spain - "The caves at Altamira are neither the oldest nor largest prehistoric sites in southwestern Europe. But they have a special fascination because of their extraordinary paintings. Most striking about the pictures in one of man's original apartment houses is the sophistication and selectivity. There are lots of bison, a few horses and deer, and a couple of boars; nothing more. The sea is nearby: Layers of detritus show that the people who lived here ate fish and mollusks as well as game, but they didn't paint them. Nor are there any birds, trees or flowers in the decoration, let alone any people. Yet the artistic technique is so well developed, the live motion and expression caught with a few lines are so intense that obviously the hands that drew the animals could have portrayed anything. - The caves themselves, of soft limestone preserved through drastic changes of climate, are million of years old. They were probably inhabited, off and on, for well over 10,000 years. The most ancient decorations, scratched or carved in undecipherable patterns, were made 25,000 years ago. A red and black animal painting and a few intriguing symbols are 13,000 years old. - Somehow, the cave paintings offer a consolation and a hope. Life goes on. Certain skills, the ones we prize most highly, seem to be innate to the human species, no matter what kind of regime we live under, what kind of disasters befall. It eases the fear of loss in the unknown ahead."

"Life on Earth traced to earlier time period" Washington - "Scientists studying Australian rocks have found evidence that primitive forms of life existed 2.7 billion years ago - a billion years earlier than had been shown. "The molecular fossils we report are the oldest preserved biological molecules in the world", said researcher Jochen J. Brocks. "This age should provide a new calibration point for molecular clocks and the universal tree of life", Brocks and his fellow Australian researchers report today in the journal 'Science'. The finding pushes back evidence of life to the Archean Era, the period from the beginning of Earth to about 2.5 billion years ago. "It was unknown that complex molecules can survive such a long period of time on Earth", said Brocks, of the University of Sydney and the Australian Geological Survey. "We opened up a window into a time when almost nothing was known about life on Earth and provide a tool that will multiply our knowledge about this shadow land". - Most rocks as old as the ones studied have undergone a process called metamorphism, an intense geological heating that changes them and that scientists thought would destroy any organic compounds they contained. But the shales studied by the researchers were well preserved and still contained the biological chemicals. The researchers found evidence of organic compounds called lipids in sedimentary rocks more than 2,100 feet deep in northwestern Australia's Roy Hill Shale and Marra Mamba Formations. The rocks formed a seabed 2.6 billion to 2.7 billion years ago. - Brocks said the finding would help scientists who were trying to calculate back to the common ancestor of all living things."
"Parade" Magazine, 8/22/99. "What Rocks Say" By David H. Levy. "The Earth is a book, it's story written in pages of rock. As your summer vacation, chances are you'll see layers of bare rock. These pages tell us the history of the Earth over an enormous span of time - almost 4.5 billion years. (If the entire history of the Earth were thought of as one 24-hour day, all of humanity would exist for only about 4 seconds!) The pages of rock chronicle not only the extinctions of various species but also several periods of mass extinctions in which a substantial portion of life on the planet was annihilated. If only it were easy to read this story! It's difficult, however, because the pages are chipped, broken or missing. But they do chronicle the fate of creatures that thrived for millions of years and then perished long before we humans came along. They also might tell us about the future of our own species. How have scientists tried to explain the disappearance of these life forms from the Earth? Almost 200 years ago, the geologists Georges Cuvier of France and Charles Lyell of England came up with two very different ways of telling the Earth's story and set off a controversy that persists today. Cuvier studied rocks laid down about 65 million years ago, when the dinosaurs became extinct. The fossilized remains of life forms above a particular layer of rock, he noted, were markedly different from those in the layers below. It typically takes hundred of thousands of years for a layer to form.
"But Cuvier came to a remarkable conclusion: The changes in the rock seemed rapid, produced by a force different from anything that could be seen on Earth - including volcanoes and earthquakes. Cuvier's theory, called the school of 'catastrophism', was that from time to time the Earth experienced unusually great catastrophes, and the processes induced by these episodes wreaked major changes over a period of mere months or years. Was Cuvier correct? Or was he so caught up in the emotions of his time - the 'catastrophic" upheavals of the French Revolution - that he couldn't separate his culture from his science? In contrast, Lyell, an English geologist with a law degree, had a lawyer's view of the world: Things happen deliberately, step-by-step. Lyell believed that the changes evident in the rocks' fossils had been gradual. Until recently, most geologists accepted this idea, giving it an eight-syllable name - 'uniformitarianism' - that takes eons to pronounce. They argued that, even though the rocks showed where many species had vanished at once, each mass extinction had taken place over hundreds of thousands of years. Thus, said the uniformitarians, the dinosaurs had become extinct over dozens of millennia. Since the early 19th century, Cuvier's theory had been ridiculed.
"But then, in the 1970s in the hills near Gubbio, Italy Walter Alvarez and his father, Luis, analyzed the rock and deduced that at least one mass extinction might have taken place over just a few years or even a few months. The Alvarezes had found a layer of clay as thin as a credit card that separated two layers of limestone. The clay was rich in iridium, an element rare in the rocks of Earth's crust but more common in asteroids and comets. In 1980, the Alvarezes announced their important conclusion: 65 million years ago, an asteroid or comet from space collided with Earth, and the resulting devastation extinguished most of Earth's species, including the dinosaurs, rather quickly. It was truly a catastrophe caused by a force humans have never seen on Earth. In 1994 we actually witnessed such a force at work elsewhere in the universe, when Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 collided with Jupiter. And here on Earth there's more than a layer of iridium to corroborate the Alvarezes' reading. In 1990, scientists found a 100-mile crater off Mexico's Yucatan peninsula that marks the exact site of impact. The gigantic explosion had produced a layer of irdium dust that reached around the world (including Gubbio, Italy). Georges Cuvier appeared vindicated.
"With mounting evidence of catastrophic changes like this one, should we discard a century and a half of thinking that the Earth evolved gradually? Not so fast. By 1980, the American scientist Stephen Jay Gould had proposed the popular theory of "punctuational change", in which the Earth has long periods of stability interrupted by sudden upheavals that alter the course of life. After each period of violence, said Gould, a new era begins, with the rapid development of new species. The rise of many species of mammals, for example, followed the extinction of the dinosaurs. Had our planet's long history been quiet from the start, it would not be home to nearly so many species, including 'homo sapiens'. It seems we have to thank the great catastrophes of Earth's history - the severe changes of climate, enormous sea-level rises and falls, and cosmic impacts - for the planet's rich diversity of life. And even, perhaps, for our own presence here."
The pages of rock, fossil, and flora, were laid down in layers during the year long Planetary Noah/Atlantis Flood, by the Tidal Wave Action that moved back and forth over the Earth until the waters drained down to the mountain tops and then as it drained down more, across the Continents that were made from the One Land Mass before the Flood. That is why there is such a mixture in the different layers of the new Top Strata, and why Religion can not trace this strata back to the Garden of Eden, and Science cannot trace Evolution back for million and billions of years, on this new strata. The Creation scientists and Evolution scientists are having differences about Education teachings in schools and in Kansas they are considering having some Creation Science in their school system along with a cut back of some Evolution teachings.
K.C. STAR, 10/17/99. "How old is the Earth? They're still guessing" By Bill Tammeus, humorist. "The good news for so-called creation scientists, those folks who think the world was created about 10,000 years ago and who have friends in semi-high places in Kansas, is that astrophysicist seem to be moving in their direction. The bad news for creation scientists is that there's a huge gap between their estimate for the age of the cosmos and one now being proposed by astronomers and such. If the astrophysicists are correct that the world is about 12 billion years old, that means there's still, well, nearly 12 billion years between their estimate and the 10,000 figure proposed by the foes of macroevolution. And yet, the new 12 billion figure is 3 billion to 6 billion closer to what's called a "young Earth" than the previous consensus among scientists of 15 billion to 18 billion. The newly proposed 12 billion figure comes from scientists from several U.S. and Canadian institutions who have been studying data provided by the Hubble Space Telescope. I'm going to do my best here to explain how scientists came up with this new 12 billion figure, but I would be ever so grateful if, before you leap into this, you would offer a small prayer that your head won't explode. I'd hate to have that on my conscience. I really think it's worth your effort to grasp all of this, too, because you just know that over the next few weeks, as we get closer to kicking out 1999, and welcoming 2000, folks in your house, office, church and bridge-and-rap music club are going to be talking about nothing but how old the world is. The work that went into the new 12 billion guess for the age of the world is described in the Sept. 23 issue of the journal 'Nature'. -
"The primary researcher, Eyal Maoz, says measurements he and his cohorts made indicated that the universe is not as old as imagined. To make his measurements, Moaz used a galaxy with the incredibly alluring name of NGC4258. - The normal way scientists measure a galaxy's distance from Earth is to look for objects in the sky whose intrinsic brightness is known. - Maoz and his folks did their Cepheid measurements of the distance to NGC4258. But they also did a second, independent measurement of the distance using what they say are highly accurate "masers", the microwave equivalent of lasers. The two estimates didn't match. Maoz said, "The bottom line is that it seems that galaxy distances may have been consistently overestimated by about 12 percent. Maybe, in fact, as much as 15 percent. - The thing that most intrigues me about all of this is not so much that the astronomers are getting ever-so-slightly closer to the Earth-age dates used by creation scientists but that less than a year ago an international team of scientists led by an Australian reported that new hubble-based measurements indicated the universe is older than previously imagined. Instead of around 15 billion years old, that group thought the age might be as much as 18 billion. I'm guessing that within a year scientists will declare both these new 12 billion and the 18 billion figures wrong and say that the universe began a week ago Sunday and was simply created to look really old. In turn, the creation scientists will declare that it couldn't have happened that way because God takes Sunday off. And there we will be. Where? Uh, I'll check my Cepheid measurements and get back to you."
Our present civilization has all types of cultures and when anyone reads about our century in the future, which physical remains would they discover and theorize about. Except, after the Planetary Fire Catastrophe, Life as we know it can not exist, so another Society can not reclaim the Earth as the Noah group could. The Noah/Atlantis Society before the Planetary Flood was as diverse as ours is today, and we need to consider this Worldwide Flood in our consideration of the Past, with a High Tech interpretation of all writings and myths of Colonization/Creation, the Fall to Heterosexual Birth from High Tech Birth, the Planetary Flood, and the Coming Judgement Day Fire from all our Pollution and weapons of mass destruction that could blow up many Planets like Earth. Nothing is more important for Eternal Physical Life After Birth, than Balanced Elements, Equal Sharing, and Peace.
