The Oldest Living Tortoise
in the World (otherwise known as the Big Tortoise) is a character who shows
up from time to time spewing forth his cynical view about the history of
the world. Frequently, his versions conflict with standard versions. Frankly,
I'm not sure if he's right or just plain senile, but his stories make interesting
reading.
