Description
Our vacation this year was a driving trip westward from Kansas
City to Estes Park, Colorado, where we stayed 3 nights, then on
to the eastern edge of Utah to visit the Dinosaur National Monument
at the Utah/Colorado border. We then sneaked back into Colorado
and drove down the western front of the Rockies, visiting the
Black Canyon of the Gunnison along the way. Next up was Albuquerque,
New Mexico, to visit a grade school chum of Jan's (Hi, Marsha!).
A 2-day drive homewards completed our 11 days on the road. Our
journey covered 2,875 miles!!
Photography
During the first 9 days, we shot 330 pictures with
our digital camera! I downloaded the photos every evening into
my laptop, along with charging the camera's batteries.
If you'd like a particular photo sized and prepared to use as computer desktop wallpaper, I'd be happy to oblige. For some of the photos I will include a larger, perhaps even the original, photo "behind" the photo which is displayed normally. Thus, if you roll your mouse across a photograph, and the pointer changes to a "hand", you can click that photo and a larger photo will display (remember, it may take several minutes to display). You can, of course, save any photo to your computer to use and/or modify as you wish.
