The 4-Family Story -- One purpose of e-Denn is to share my delight with the families to which I belong, or to which I have belonged in the past. Like almost everyone, I was raised by one family, and, when the time came, I married into another. But, the story of my life is "book-ended" by two more families! Start from the left!!

Dennis -- However catchy I might think a title such as "The 4-Family Story" might be, it is nevertheless true that the confluence of these families has contributed mightily to my becoming me, to my story, and therefore the story on these pages is just as much a Dennis Story as it is a 4-Family Story.

I'm reminded of the scene in the wonderful movie "Amistad" where imprisoned Cinque relates to his attorney (played by the superb Anthony Hopkins) that they will not be going into the Supreme Court alone. Cinque reports that he will summon his ancestors, and they will come help him, for he is the reason they existed.
