WHEN SOMEONE DIES

When we lose a friend or family member, we can find comfort and encouragement in the word of God.  The tragic attack on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and the jetliner crash in Pennsylvania all cry for understanding.

God allowed the attack to happen.  The verses below can provide comfort for those of us who have to live on.

1Thessalonians 4:13 - 16
13 "But I would not have ye to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.  And the dead in Christ will rise first.

1Corinthians 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
