Statement of Beliefs

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that God is the eternal creator of all things, that He has a plan of salvation for humans. This plan is revealed in the pages of the Bible. Genesis 1 & 2
(Good News Bible,Today's English Version unless noted otherwise.)

We believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit revealed in the Bible compose the one and only true God. 1John 5:7

We believe the Jesus of the Bible is the Son of God who came to earth in human form, lived, and died to pay the penalty for our sins by His shed blood. Romans 5 , I Corinthians 15:3-4

And that He arose from the dead and ascended to heaven, but will return to earth and all people who have ever lived will be resurrected.
Matthew 28:1-6 , John 14:3 , Revelations 20:4-6, 11-15

We believe humans receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and are given the Holy Spirit which shines forth from them as they yield their lives in love toward God and fellow humans. Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2 ; Mark 12:30-31; John 15:13

We believe that sins are forgiven by Jesus' shed blood through grace (unearned, endeserved pardon.) Romans 3

We believe that a relationship with God is an integral part of the christian walk. This is experienced in prayer, talking to God 2 Timothy 2 - and study of the Bible, listening to God.

We believe God has commissioned the church to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations. Matthew 24 , Matthew 28:19
