I started having problems with my CD-ROM drive skipping badly on every audio track for several months. At the same time, I wanted to try my hand at GTK. So, I decided to write the "The Witty CD Player." (The name is a play on my last name ;-) The Witty CD Player uses the cdda2wav program to perform oversampling to account for the skips. This is the 0.0.7 release of "The Witty CD Player." This program was originally written in GNU 2.7.3.2 for i586 Linux. I developed it with GTK 1.2. In the future, I hope to put in options for it to be compiled under Solaris, and BSD. Then, just do "make" To install it, do "make install" as root. I have even put in an option to uninstall. Just do "make uninstall" I hope to put in cute little graphic buttons instead of the text ones. I hope you enjoy this program. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated. -- Derek Witt, dwitt1@kc.rr.com.
