Our Background | LCG Booklet |
When Linda and I were young, we both attended traditional "christian churches". It only seemed proper for us to accept the beliefs of our parents and the messages that we heard from our respective ministers. That is precisely what most people do. Most people base their beliefs on what they are told not what the Bible actually states. Too many times people just do not know what God really says in the Bible. About 9 years into our marriage, we both began reading the Bible, I mean really reading the Bible and paying attention to what it said. The differences between what we found in the Bible and what we heard being preached led us to seek an organization more closely aligned with the Bible. We found that organization through Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong , now deceased.
Following the death of Mr. Armstrong in 1986, a group of deceitful men proceeded to change the registered doctrines of that organization to their own personal beliefs which were inline with most other Christian organizations of the world. They did not offer to give back any property or assets that were purchased with tithes and offerings from members such as ourselves. They changed things slowly trying not to let anyone know what they were doing. By early 1995, so much of their plans had been discovered that they were forced to formally announce their intentions. We quit attending immediately. Once again, Linda and I were forced to seek an organization that shared our beliefs.
We have found an organization that embodies the apostolic characteristics which we feel are most important to spreading the gospel of God's soon coming Kingdom. That organization is the Living Church of God. Linda and I plan on supporting this organization in an effort to improve the fulfillment of the work prior to the return of Jesus Christ. The links that you find in this section of our website are intended to help you or anyone better understand the true instructions of the Bible.
